A Bit About Me
You would probably like to know a little more about me before clicking that contact button. I am still happy married to my husband after a good number of years ( 🙂 ) and live in Halesowen, West Midlands. I have two grown up children, and a beautiful granddaughter.
The reason I have been a Humanist celebrant since 2008 is that it is such a great job to have. Helping people to transform their ideas and dreams into reality – what is there not to like? And I get to meet so many lovely people and be part of something special, I feel really lucky to be part of that. There aren’t many jobs where you spend your day with people who are so happy because of the love they feel for someone else, be a partner or children.
I am calm, dependable and have a keen eye for detail. I am told I am warm, approachable and a very good listener, with a natural ability to put people at ease. I am an efficient communicator who can be relied upon to keep you in touch with how a ceremony is progressing. And with a vast experience of public speaking, I can assure you that every ceremony I conduct will be delivered to a very high standard.
I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in conducting ceremonies and I am frequently asked by Humanist UK to mentor new Humanist wedding celebrants during their training period. Being accredited by Humanists UK means that I am also periodically assessed, I submit evidence of continuous professional development, and have a DBS certificate. All of this means you can be safe in the knowledge that you will receive from me, a professional service, and the best possible ceremony experience.
What makes me stand out from other celebrants is that I am accredited by Humanists UK
Celebrating a special meal with my family
In an unregulated industry anyone can say they’re a celebrant – checking a celebrant’s qualifications and experience ensures that your ceremony is entrusted with someone qualified to make it perfect!
Being accredited by Humanist UK, the longest standing provider of celebrants (for over 120 years) the charity carefully selects people that are suitable to deliver a quality ceremony. The residential training, examination and accreditation program ensures ceremonies are delivered to an exceptionally high standard. Humanists UK, a registered charity, supports and represents non-religious people who seek to live good and responsible lives on the basis of reason and humanity.
As a Humanists UK accredited celebrant, I come with full public liability and professional indemnity insurance and free family membership to Humanists UK for one year is provided with your booking.
I would love to hear about the celebration you want, the ideas you have, who you want to be involved and how we can make it perfect for you. At the heart of all of my ceremonies is love, from you to your family and friends and to each other.
